Locations To Visit In Vietnam

Locations To Visit In Vietnam

by Jose Maurette Garces

Explore Hanoi

The first stop is the chaotic capital city, Hanoi. Spend some time in this wonderful cultural hub and you will soon learn what makes in one of the best tourist attractions in Vietnam. Stop off at the Old District or wander down to the Perfume Pagoda, which is a must-see for every tourist. Ha Long Bay and Sapa are nearby and are sure to tickle your fancy.

Northeast Vietnam

Take a trip off the beaten track and visit regions like Cao Bang and Ha Giang. Most tourists never see these places. The average trip, taken on four wheeled vehicles, lasts about five days. To explore even wilder areas, add a couple of days to your journey.

Hue

Hue is south of Hanoi, and is an ancient Vietnamese capital. You will want a few days to have a look around and visit some of the breath-taking temples in the area.

Shop in Hoi An

This city is very beautiful. You are sure to love wandering its pretty streets, or visiting the beach. It is also a great place to buy tailor-made clothes.

Submerge yourself in Nha Trang

This large town has a number of excellent beaches. They are great for scuba diving, so you might want to stay four or five days to get the most out of your visit. If you don't like scuba diving then a couple of days should be all you need to have a look around.

Welcome to Saigon!

Also known as Ho Chi Minh, this is the business center of Vietnam. If you thought Hanoi was loud and chaotic, this place is even more so! Like Hanoi, it has plenty to offer.

Drift along with the Mekong Delta

The Mekong Delta will prove to be a unique experience as you drift along. Take a look at the floating markets as you go.

Phu Quoc Island

The island of Phu Quoc, which exists a little way south of Cambodia, is a tropical paradise. Crystal clear waters and endless beaches have not been spoiled by the rise in commercialism in the area.

Taking a family vacation that includes more activities such as hiking, biking, mountain climbing, or sight seeing is one way to show children who big this world actually is. While many families take vacations to amusement parks or they take cruises, many alternatives exist that you should consider. When booking a trip to China, Russia, or Mexico, ask about accommodations for children. There are many hotels that cater to children who want to learn more about the area and those who want to meet other children their own age. Touring a new country can give children a new perspective on life and enrich their own lives in the meantime.

Before booking your next family vacation, hold a family meeting to see where each member would like to go. Even though you may not be able to honor everyone's choice, choose a place that is within your price range, includes activities for children, and a place where you can explore different cultures while on vacation. In addition to meeting new people, you can also see some of the most beautiful sights in the world. Stand on a mountain top, cross beautiful rivers, or walk through some of the greatest forests you will ever see.

Even though you may want to take the easy route and stay in a state park or visit family for your next vacation, take the chance and visit a place you've never been to before. To learn more about exotic locations, read informative reviews to find out more. Contact a travel agent, pick up brochures, and visit websites to find all the information you will need. After deciding where to go, you may need to apply for passports, visas, and have your family immunized so they will not catch any diseases while traveling. Research travel insurance and other information so you can protect your family at all times.

Family vacations should be memorable and fun. Instead of playing it safe, you should consider visiting a new place. Your children will be very excited to learn more about where they will be traveling for their upcoming family vacation. If you are unsure whether a place is child-friendly, you should contact the resort or hotel in advance to see if they have activities for children. While some resorts have little for children to do, the surrounding area may have plenty of activities including water parks, hiking trails, national parks, and day camps for children.

Depending on the ages of your children, they may be more interested in visiting museums, theater productions, or going to night spots for teenagers. When planning your vacation, ask your children what they would like to do. Many children enjoy spending time at the beach, meeting new people, and shopping. By allowing older children to have their free time, you will be able to spend more quality time when you are together as a family. This will make your vacation much more special.

There is nothing quite so relaxing as sitting on the shore of one of the Great Lakes, the largest freshwater lakes in the United States, and watching the birds fly over, occasionally swooping down to the waters surface and flying away with a small fish for dinner. It is a peaceful moment when nature is at its most and life is as it should be. That is truly a special time, but for some, that sort of activity would spell out a waste of valuable vacation time. Some folks just like to see and do big things on their vacations and save the relaxation for home time. For those individuals, Lake Michigan in Chicago has just the right occasion for them.

Once per year the grand city of Chicago hosts an annual event called the Chicago Air and Water festival. This is an awesome showing of some of the most talented flying individuals in the world! The water aspect comes in the fact that the shows are performed over the water of Lake Michigan while the crowd looks on from the lakeshore. You will see some stunt flying at this festival that will almost stop your heart.

The performers in this show are varied, but usually are made up of at least one military team, such as next years show with the famed United States Air Force stunt jet flying team, the Thunderbirds. You will enjoy a day on the Lake Michigan Beach, relaxing as you watch these amazing pilots fly at speeds in excess of two hundred miles per hour, yet actually coming within inches of one another while performing harrowing stunts. The flames do rollovers, flips, three hundred and sixty degree turns, and loops. You will also get to see another Army team; the Parachute Team Golden Knights perform as they bail from an aircraft at a frightening twelve thousand plus feet in the sky. These brave men and women will be falling at over one hundred miles per hour until they finally pop open their parachutes. This will leave you holding your breath in fear as they wait until the last possible second to pull the chutes. There are also local sponsored flyers that get in on the show every year also, such as the Red Barron Pizza Squadron, the AeroShell Aerobatic Team and the Air Force Reserves.

The festival is more than just a couple hours of flight shows. There will be hundreds of vendors lining the shorefront with a variety of gifts, memorabilia and even balloons. Many of the fine restaurant establishments will be serving food for the visitors. There will be foods of all ethnicities and styles from culinary classics to modern day appetizers and snacks. You will later on find out that the whole city is involved in the festival as there will be street vendors and all kinds of other attractions and events going on out on the streets of the lakefront area.

You have Stunt flying, beaches, food and festivities, all in one amazing vacation expedition. What more could one ask for in an exciting summer getaway? Check the calendar for the exact date and set aside a little vacation time this year for Chicago Illinois and see the Chicago Air and Water Show. You'll be glad that you did.
